Steven Jackson, Sam Bradford lead list of Rams’ injuries from loss to Eagles
Steven Jackson’s TD scamper was his game highlight. (Jeff Roberson / AP)The injury report for the St. Louis Rams, who lost 31-13 to the Philadelphia Eagles, was extensive.
Running back Steven Jackson hurt his right leg on the Rams’ first offensive play of the game, his 47-yard touchdown run. Jackson, who was scarcely untouched on the play, will undergo an MRI today. If the injury is not significant, he’ll have an extra day in which to heal, with the Rams playing Sept 19.
Quarterback Sam Bradford hurt his right index finger when his hand struck the helmet of an Eagles defender on a pass attempt late in the game. Coach Steve Sparano said the injury apparently was to a nerve, that there was no break.
The worst injury was to wide receiver Danny Amendola, who dislocated his left elbow in the fourth quarter and will undergo an MRI today. Offensive tackle Jason Smith suffered an apparent high ankle sprain and cornerback Ron Bartell suffered a stringer late in the game.
